Responsibilities

  • Build software and automation for cyber security control monitoring, testing, reporting, and evidence collection.
  • Develop command-line tools, APIs, integrations, and workflows that simplify assurance activities.
  • Integrate with security platforms, risk systems, cloud services, SIEM, vulnerability management, IAM, EDR, and other engineering tools.
  • Create repeatable evidence-generation processes for audits, regulatory reviews, customer assessments, and compliance activities.
  • Use structured and unstructured data to identify control gaps, weaknesses, trends, and risk exposure.
  • Translate technical control activity into clear, auditable evidence and reporting.
  • Improve control design, implementation, measurement, and documentation, including policy-as-code approaches.
  • Provide technical feedback through code and design reviews and help develop standards and policy documentation.

Requirements

  • Previous experience building command-line tools and working with web-based systems and APIs.
  • Commercial experience with Rust, TypeScript, Python, Go, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of algorithms and data structures for handling large volumes of data and data-intensive systems.
  • Experience providing engineering feedback through code review.
  • Exposure to multiple programming languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing, version control, maintainability, documentation, and secure coding practices.
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data to generate meaningful control insight.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to engineers, risk teams, auditors, and senior stakeholders.
  • Helpful qualifications include cyber security, control testing, evidence, risk management, regulated-environment, consulting, policy documentation, policy-as-code, continuous control monitoring, and relevant cyber security, cloud, software engineering, or risk certification experience.
