Base Salary
$180k - $400k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the build, test, and deployment processes for the software organization and define how teams fit into them.
- Improve monorepo build, test, and deployment patterns so engineering teams can move quickly without blocking one another.
- Investigate and implement tooling such as TurboRepo to accelerate builds and separate concerns.
- Improve organization-wide and team-level visibility into test coverage across data sources, destinations, and enrichment patterns.
- Extend and support multi-region and multi-cloud backend infrastructure, including launching Hightouch in new regions for data residency requirements.
- Increase the ability to detect issues before production and respond quickly when issues occur.
- Write and deliver product features during onboarding and contribute to complicated backend code as needed.
- Own projects end to end and work directly with customers on difficult scaling problems.
Requirements
- Senior-level software engineering experience with strong computer science and development fundamentals.
- Experience driving significant productivity improvements for a development team of more than 50 people through build, test, and deployment process changes.
- Experience in a developer productivity function, becoming a build-focused engineer at a startup, or delivering code that improved cross-team productivity metrics.
- Ability to make high-leverage framework-level improvements across multiple engineering teams.
- Comfort working in backend feature code and solving complex technical problems.
- Interest in high ownership, autonomy, customer impact, and a fast-paced startup environment.
