Responsibilities
- Contribute to design, development, testing, and other parts of the software development lifecycle.
- Develop practical technical solutions, APIs, and abstractions with guidance from senior engineers.
- Work with existing data models and schemas and suggest necessary changes and improvements.
- Identify and remediate technical debt.
- Deliver well-specified work items and clarify unclear requirements through questions and proposals.
- Debug and fix software and large components with limited assistance.
- Participate in code reviews and seek feedback to improve technical skills.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in a technical discipline, or additional experience in place of the degree.
- At least 1 year of demonstrated hands-on software engineering experience.
- Knowledge of SQL, relational and analytical database concepts, and stored procedures.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development and writing simple, adaptive, iterative code.
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced Agile team environment.
- Competence in one or two programming languages or technologies.
- Ability to work with SDLC methodologies such as Scrum.
- Preferred: experience building and deploying applications to public or private clouds such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Preferred: understanding of AI-driven tools, workflow automation, or analytics-enabled business solutions.
- Preferred: financial industry experience.

- Base salary ranges from $77,500.00 to $132,000.00 in Maryland, Colorado, Washington, and for remote workers; $85,000.00 to $145,000.00 in Washington, D.C.; and $96,500.00 to $165,000.00 in New York and California.
