Base Salary
$236k - $339k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop the orchestration layer and control plane for large-scale databases.
- Work with AWS, Azure, and GCP APIs.
- Build high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions.
- Tune Postgres to operate at scale for very large datasets.
- Secure and protect customer data.
- Design and implement improvements across distributed systems and low-level performance layers.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of industry experience designing, building, and developing large-scale production systems.
- Experience building and maintaining distributed, highly available, and fault-tolerant services.
- Strong understanding of operating-systems concepts including multithreading, memory management, networking, storage, performance, and scale.
- Extremely strong computer-science fundamentals.
- Experience with Java, Python or Ruby, and Go.
- Experience running and maintaining large Postgres servers.
- Familiarity with cloud networking, including VPCs, PrivateLink, and peering.
- Experience working with remote, geographically distributed teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science is a plus.
- Deep Postgres expertise, including WAL, extensions, configuration, and replication, is a plus.
- Experience designing and implementing large systems for public or private clouds is a plus.
- FedRAMP and DoD deployment experience is a plus.
