Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and support of application stacks.
- Translate business requirements into highly performant, scalable, resilient, and low-latency applications.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders on development priorities and product and technology roadmaps.
- Coach, mentor, and develop people and lead high-performing development teams.
- Research industry trends and emerging tools and technologies while providing technical thought leadership.
- Implement DevOps practices, continuous integration, continuous delivery, build automation, and test-driven development across projects.
- Follow the full software development lifecycle and troubleshoot issues by identifying root causes and communicating resolutions.
- Collaborate with technology partners including QA, business analysts, and project support teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in software design and development using at least one high-level language.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Python experience with strong proficiency in pandas, NumPy, and data pipeline development.
- Experience with real-time or streaming data processing is preferred.
- Knowledge of KDB+/q and KX-Dashboards is advantageous; selected candidates receive structured on-the-job KDB+/q training.
- Understanding of architectural patterns is advantageous.
- Exposure to software development on a cloud platform, preferably AWS, is desired.
- Experience with Jenkins and Git is expected for development automation practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, business acumen, and oral and written communication skills.
- Experience leading high-performing development teams and collaborating with QA, business analysts, and project support teams.
