Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain low-level embedded software using C, C++, Python, Assembly, and other applicable languages.
- Develop device drivers for Linux and RTOS systems and debug complex hardware-software issues.
- Provide technical ownership for security-critical software involving hardware roots of trust, secure elements, cryptography, key management, and Trusted Execution Environments.
- Analyze attack surfaces, vulnerabilities, trust boundaries, and misuse scenarios and recommend remediation or risk treatment.
- Develop and maintain automated security, robustness, penetration, and fuzzing test capabilities.
- Review embedded software and system designs for security weaknesses, regulatory concerns, and appropriate security controls.
- Support cybersecurity compliance analysis, risk assessments, technical documentation, and evidence development.
- Lead technical assignments, assess feasibility and risks, support planning, communicate security conclusions, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, aerospace engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field, plus at least 9 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience serving as a lead software engineer for projects involving new markets or significant new technologies.
- Experience architecting solutions for multiple groups or disciplines.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent academic performance, with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 generally expected; a GPA of at least 3.5 is preferred.
