Base Salary
$158k - $238k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver large projects across billing and financial workflows and maintain key code repositories.
- Design and evolve reliable services, APIs, data models, and asynchronous or distributed workflows for revenue-critical systems.
- Build durable, traceable, and idempotent financial data processing with strong validation, audit signals, and operational visibility.
- Identify root causes of incidents and data discrepancies while improving system maintainability, availability, performance, and observability.
- Collaborate with Product, Finance, Operations, Data, and partner engineering teams on requirements, roadmaps, and technical strategy.
- Support production systems, developer tooling, and operational runbooks.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, design feedback, and knowledge sharing.
- Communicate technical decisions clearly and document workflows for technical and non-technical partners.
- Integrate AI technologies into engineering, operational, and product processes with appropriate review and control.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of non-internship, full-time professional software development experience.
- At least 4 years of experience with one or more programming languages and across the full software development life cycle.
- Experience delivering large software projects or features in production.
- Proficiency in a modern programming language such as Golang, Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience designing and operating backend services, APIs, data models, and asynchronous or distributed workflows.
- Experience with relational databases and integrations where data integrity, failure handling, and observability are important.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate technical trade-offs clearly.
- Preferred experience with billing, payments, revenue, accounting, claims, or other financial systems.
- Preferred familiarity with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, workflow orchestration, scalable cloud services, data quality, incident response, developer tooling, mentoring, and AI technologies.
