Base Salary
$242k - $294k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop experiences and animation features that raise the quality bar on the Roblox platform.
- Analyze existing animation technology and tools to determine improvements needed for project objectives.
- Document issues, improvements, and feature requests across character animation technology.
- Work with gameplay engineers to implement gameplay interactions using animation technology.
- Implement innovative solutions and collaborate with the avatar animation team on larger features.
- Work with internal content teams and community developers to improve Roblox animation.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience with character animation, game engines, and tools.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and the ability to write high-quality, performant code.
- Experience working on animation systems and tools.
- Strong 3D math skills and sound code architecture judgment.
- Ability to implement performant solutions for platforms including mobile.
- Experience with Lua is a plus.
- Prior animation experience in games or interactive experiences is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects through their full lifecycle, and collaborate effectively with teammates and developers.
