Software Engineering, Developer
General Dynamics Mission SystemsResponsibilities
- Assist and support lead engineers and team members.
- Perform software design and analysis functions and document analysis, design, and testing according to development standards.
- Implement software to meet requirements and write software requirements based on system-level requirements and design documents.
- Develop and perform code testing and debugging, identify and resolve defects, and verify changes.
- Support system-level testing and integration efforts.
- Participate in code reviews and Scrum events, including planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Verify completed work meets the Definition of Done and Acceptance Criteria.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant technologies, products, and market trends and perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of related experience.
- Experience working on software development projects.
- Experience with programming languages such as C#, Java, or C++.
- Experience with software engineering processes and tools.
- Knowledge of design patterns and software engineering principles.
- Experience with or familiarity with AI/ML models is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain applicable Canadian government security clearances and meet Controlled Goods requirements.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
