Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain firmware for MCU-based embedded products.
  • Implement firmware modules for motor control, sensors, power management, user interfaces, BLE communication, RFID, and product connectivity.
  • Manage software design, coding, debugging, integration, and verification activities with manufacturing partners.
  • Investigate and resolve firmware issues during development, product validation, qualification, and mass production.
  • Participate in design reviews and development documentation.
  • Collaborate with electronics, mechanical, software, app, and test engineering teams.
  • Travel occasionally to suppliers or manufacturing sites for project activities, up to 20%.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of embedded software or firmware development experience with a bachelor's degree, or 3 years with a master's degree.
  • Hands-on experience with Embedded C/C++ development and MCU platforms.
  • Understanding of UART, SPI, I²C, GPIO, ADC, PWM, and common embedded hardware interfaces.
  • Basic understanding of BLE communication and wireless connectivity technologies.
  • Familiarity with RFID, user-interface firmware, data storage, RTOS fundamentals, and embedded software architecture.
  • Experience with firmware debugging and root-cause analysis.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, learn quickly, and communicate in English and Chinese.
  • Preferred qualifications include BLE stack development or debugging, battery-powered or low-power embedded products, embedded cybersecurity concepts, Python, software test automation tools, and consumer electronics, smart devices, IoT, or medical devices.
