Machine Learning Engineer (Active Secret Clearance)

Responsibilities
- Develop machine learning models and custom analytics for image, video, text, geospatial, time-series, and structured data.
- Orchestrate and automate complex data engineering and analytics pipelines.
- Envision, specify, design, and implement core product functionality.
- Transform machine learning models into operational capabilities with data scientists, software engineers, and DevOps engineers.
- Contribute to customer-driven projects, enduring products, and future capabilities of the Chariot AI operations platform.
- Conduct mission-critical fieldwork supporting customers and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, machine learning, or a related discipline and 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience contributing to data-centric systems, including data engineering, data cleaning, ETL pipelines, machine learning, or production analytics.
- Proficiency in software engineering fundamentals such as algorithms, data structures, and design patterns, plus at least one systems programming language.
- Proficiency in Python and exposure to TensorFlow, PyTorch, and/or scikit-learn.
- Exposure to modern software engineering tools and processes, including version control, issue tracking, CI/CD, and debugging.
- Active Secret or higher U.S. security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Advanced degree in data science, machine learning, computer science, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes client-server architectures, containerized or cloud deployments, imagery or video machine learning, agentic systems, complex technical solution delivery, and secure government environments.
