Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve Android systems for Mobile Device Management products.
- Lead Android platform architecture, technical direction, and critical product components.
- Define scalable approaches to mobile security, performance, authentication, storage, networking, provisioning, privacy, and application management.
- Write secure, maintainable Java and Kotlin code for high-quality Android experiences.
- Lead technical initiatives, review designs, break down complex problems, and mentor engineers.
- Evaluate Android technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, QA, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of object-oriented software engineering experience with deep native Android expertise.
- Expert knowledge of Java and Kotlin, including concurrency, multithreading, design patterns, and performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of Android frameworks, platform internals, design guidelines, and development best practices.
- Experience building secure Android applications, including secure interprocess communication between Android apps.
- Track record of developing high-quality Android applications, ideally published on the Google Play Store.
- Experience with enterprise mobility, mobile security, provisioning, application management, or related Android platform capabilities.
- Understanding of cryptography and PKI.
- B.Tech. or M.Tech. in Computer Science, or equivalent relevant development experience.
- Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync experience is strongly preferred.
