Responsibilities
- Own the comprehensive testing strategy and quality outcomes for a mission-team domain.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated API, UI, and mobile tests.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and maintain quality gates.
- Coordinate testing for microservices, security, and performance, including OWASP ZAP testing.
- Use quality metrics such as MTTD, MTTR, and defect escape rates to identify high-risk areas.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, QA leadership, and the central Tooling Team.
- Develop custom automation helpers and data generators where team-specific gaps exist.
- Define test-data strategies and environment requirements for automated and exploratory testing.
- Coach developers and junior QA engineers on automation practices and test-design patterns.
- Use AI tools for architecture exploration, incident investigation, and test generation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in QA Automation or SDET roles.
- Proficiency in C# or JavaScript/TypeScript for automation.
- Experience testing complex financial systems such as card issuing, transaction processing, or credit risk.
- Hands-on experience with UI automation tools including Playwright or Cypress.
- Experience with REST Assured or other API testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with Azure, Git, and integrating automated testing into deployment workflows.
- Ability to lead quality within an Agile team and influence developers and Product Owners without formal authority.
