Base Salary
$146k - $218k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and enable embedded firmware for Qualcomm SoCs’ Always On power-management subsystem.
- Manage power and thermal budget distribution with a focus on limits management.
- Define, model, design, optimize, verify, validate, implement, and document ASIC IP, blocks, SoCs, or IC packages.
- Create architectures, circuit specifications, logic designs, and system simulations from system-level requirements.
- Characterize existing and new IP and collaborate with hardware power-management and firmware teams.
- Support third-party platform enablement and provide input to SoC and platform architects.
- Evaluate design flows including synthesis, place and route, timing, power usage, and verification.
- Write and review technical documentation for EDA, IP, and ASIC projects.
- Provide guidance to team members and communicate complex technical information to cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field plus 4+ years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree plus 3+ years; or a PhD plus 2+ years.
- Experience in ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work.
- Preferred master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Preferred 6+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related experience.
- Preferred 2+ years of experience with architecture and design tools, scripting tools and programming languages, and design-verification methods.
- Preferred 1+ year of experience interacting with senior leadership.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and provide guidance to other team members.
