Base Salary

$80k - $400k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate client discovery workshops and identify, prioritize, and scope high-value AI opportunities.
  • Translate business requirements into product requirements, technical specifications, prompt criteria, and evaluation plans.
  • Rapidly build proof-of-concept AI applications and evolve successful prototypes into reliable production systems.
  • Design and implement single- and multi-agent systems, tool use, control loops, context management, planning, delegation, and failure recovery.
  • Build full-stack products, backend services, APIs, data infrastructure, cloud deployments, retrieval systems, and enterprise integrations.
  • Develop evaluation, observability, regression testing, telemetry, safety, moderation, PII handling, prompt-injection defenses, and permission-aware tool-use capabilities.
  • Apply machine learning fundamentals, model adaptation, dataset preparation, training pipelines, and model evaluation where appropriate.
  • Engage directly with client and executive stakeholders, demonstrate work, gather feedback, and provide technical product leadership.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering or technical product engineering experience.
  • At least 1 year building and deploying generative AI or LLM applications in production.
  • Expert proficiency in Python and strong software engineering fundamentals across real-time, interactive, and batch services.
  • Experience with REST, WebSockets, MCP, streaming APIs, event-driven architectures, and modern API integration patterns.
  • Experience using spec-driven AI development tools and agentic IDEs such as Cursor, Codex, and OpenCode.
  • Experience designing retrieval systems with embedding search, hybrid retrieval, metadata filtering, reranking, and agentic search.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; Docker; Kubernetes; and CI/CD automation.
  • Experience with authentication and authorization methods and products, persistence selection, database schema design, transaction boundaries, and mutable versus immutable data decisions.
  • Experience balancing feature delivery and technical debt while maintaining software quality.
  • Demonstrated client-facing or internal product leadership, discovery workshop facilitation, requirements gathering, and executive communication.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, business administration, or a related field.
  • Preferred experience operating enterprise AI/ML systems in production and managing their reliability, security, governance, and integration requirements.
  • Preferred experience with Media & Entertainment, digital media supply chains, enterprise content automation, multimodal media, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or rapid AI prototyping.
