Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale highly available backend microservices and performance-optimized responsive frontends.
- Design, orchestrate, and deploy production-ready agentic workflows using LLM reasoning, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
- Develop full-stack components integrating generative AI model deployment and real-time inference systems, optimizing performance, latency, and throughput.
- Establish architectural patterns and tooling for the Java, Next.js, and Google Cloud ecosystem, preferably including Vertex AI.
- Champion type safety, automated testing, monitoring, enterprise security, data privacy, and responsible AI practices across applications and AI pipelines.
- Lead technical design reviews and high-impact code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote engineering excellence.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience and demonstrated Staff or Tech Lead-level work.
- At least 2 years of hands-on production experience designing, fine-tuning, and building autonomous AI agentic solutions, LLM architectures, and RAG pipelines.
- Expertise with Java and Spring Boot or equivalent enterprise frameworks such as Go or advanced Node.js, including resilient distributed systems and secure APIs.
- Experience with SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra schema design and performance tuning.
- Deep experience building production web applications with React, TypeScript, Next.js, and Node.js, including server-side rendering and state management.
- Experience designing and deploying distributed systems on Google Cloud Platform using GKE or Cloud Run and CI/CD tools such as Harness or Jenkins.
- Ability to address generative-AI UI/UX challenges including streaming model responses, conversational state, and fallback interfaces.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical, cloud, and AI concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include Python proficiency, experience with LangChain or LlamaIndex, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer certification, and familiarity with cybersecurity principles for AI applications.
