Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver secure, reliable, high-performance Android features from requirements through implementation.
- Own the technical design and architecture of assigned features and collaborate with product owners, architects, QA engineers, and developers.
- Break features into tasks, estimate effort, track progress, and deliver work predictably and with high quality.
- Perform code reviews, follow coding standards and modern Android practices, and improve application performance, security, and maintainability.
- Develop and maintain unit tests, support functional and automated testing, troubleshoot technical issues, and partner with QA to deliver a strong user experience.
- Partner with stakeholders and teams, remove impediments, improve ways of working, and encourage experimentation and innovation.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Android development experience building and supporting production-grade mobile applications.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and the Android SDK.
- B1-level Czech-language communication ability.
- Deep understanding of MVVM, clean architecture principles, dependency injection, and scalable Android application design.
- Experience integrating APIs, SDKs, and third-party libraries with attention to performance and maintainability.
- Expertise in secure mobile development, including secure coding, code obfuscation, encryption, HTTPS/TLS, Android KeyStore, and Android KeyChain.
- Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate across teams.
- Preferred qualities include stakeholder partnership, ownership, curiosity, empathy, continuous improvement, experimentation, and experience fostering collaborative cross-functional or distributed teams.
