Responsibilities
- Own complex technical initiatives end to end, from problem discovery and investigation through design, implementation, deployment, and post-production follow-up.
- Investigate and resolve complex problems using data, logs, metrics, traces, and code analysis to identify root causes.
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and architecture decisions while communicating trade-offs clearly.
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to manage dependencies, unblock issues, and deliver pragmatic value.
- Communicate the status, risks, blockers, and key decisions of initiatives clearly and concisely.
Requirements
- Solid experience developing backend services in Golang.
- Knowledge of Kotlin or Java is valued.
- Experience with distributed architectures and microservices.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases and the trade-offs between them.
- Experience with observability, including logging, metrics, alerts, traces, and monitoring with Grafana or similar tools.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes is strongly valued.
- Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous contexts, structure problems, and drive initiatives to resolution without constant supervision.
