Responsibilities
- Design, develop, analyze, document, test, debug, and support software applications, systems, products, and subsystems.
- Develop software tools such as operating systems, compilers, routers, network utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
- Determine hardware compatibility and complete installation and maintenance documentation and procedures.
- Interact with users to define system requirements and necessary modifications.
- Review customer specifications and requirements and develop designs under direction, considering cost as a key design variable.
- Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services.
- Support design-to-cost and design-for-manufacture requirements and develop prototypes to reduce development risks.
- Report progress and status, meet assigned schedules and technical requirements, and communicate with company personnel and customers.
- Participate in technical, engineering, customer, business, and proposal activities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Novice technical expertise and application-domain knowledge.
- Experience with C, C++, or C# and strong object-oriented programming skills.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- An active DoD security clearance or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable time after employment begins is required.
- Preferred experience includes Rust, cryptography integration into production systems, encryption, key management, digital signatures, HAIPE implementations or integrations, AI/ML techniques, AI system operationalization, and secure AI practices.
