Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, analyze, document, test, debug, and support software applications, systems, products, and subsystems.
  • Develop software tools such as operating systems, compilers, routers, network utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
  • Determine hardware compatibility and complete installation and maintenance documentation and procedures.
  • Interact with users to define system requirements and necessary modifications.
  • Review customer specifications and requirements and develop designs under direction, considering cost as a key design variable.
  • Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services.
  • Support design-to-cost and design-for-manufacture requirements and develop prototypes to reduce development risks.
  • Report progress and status, meet assigned schedules and technical requirements, and communicate with company personnel and customers.
  • Participate in technical, engineering, customer, business, and proposal activities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Novice technical expertise and application-domain knowledge.
  • Experience with C, C++, or C# and strong object-oriented programming skills.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • An active DoD security clearance or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable time after employment begins is required.
  • Preferred experience includes Rust, cryptography integration into production systems, encryption, key management, digital signatures, HAIPE implementations or integrations, AI/ML techniques, AI system operationalization, and secure AI practices.
