Responsibilities
- Lead development of user-facing products that protect Discord's users.
- Design, build, and deploy robust production APIs and backend services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create impactful solutions.
- Iterate on in-house tooling to enhance Trust & Safety workflows.
- Respond rapidly to changes in the abuse and compliance landscape.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in Python and back-end API frameworks like Flask or Django.
- 5+ years experience in front-end development with JavaScript frameworks like React or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with databases such as Cassandra, Postgres, and ScyllaDB.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and coordinate rollouts.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in a production environment.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
