Responsibilities
- Install and configure Preql using Docker images and Helm charts in customer-managed Kubernetes environments across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premise infrastructure.
- Own networking, private connectivity, SSO and SAML, IAM and role design, warehouse permissions, and secrets management.
- Design deployment architecture for each customer account and ensure delivered work matches the agreed scope.
- Navigate customer IT environments to identify and resolve deployment blockers proactively.
- Lead enterprise security and compliance reviews, including questionnaires, data handling and residency discussions, architecture walkthroughs, and escalations.
- Monitor production health, perform upgrades, and provide first response when customer deployments fail.
- Maintain release and versioning discipline so every customer remains on a known, supportable configuration.
- Create runbooks, installation automation, and reference architecture documentation to improve deployment repeatability.
- Run customer installations independently and reduce product engineering involvement in customer environments.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineering, including shipping into production environments outside your control.
- Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Depth in at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a working understanding of the others.
- Experience with enterprise networking and identity, including VPCs, private connectivity, SSO, SAML, IAM, role design, and secrets management.
- Experience with CI/CD, observability, and incident response.
- High SQL and data infrastructure literacy.
- Comfort working directly with customers on scoping, pushback, and early communication of risks or bad news.
- Tolerance for ambiguity and willingness to create runbooks where none exist.
- Strongly preferred experience packaging and shipping self-hosted or customer-managed software.
- Strongly preferred experience completing security reviews for regulated buyers such as banks.
- Familiarity with enterprise data infrastructure and related finance systems is a strong signal.
