Responsibilities
- Develop embedded C firmware for controlling DSP hardware.
- Develop C and Python test code for utilities, GUIs, regression, and simulation infrastructure.
- Take features from concept through design, review, implementation, testing, and customer release.
- Debug difficult hardware/software issues, determine root causes with hardware and software teams, and track bug resolution through Jira.
- Support product development from initial lab bring-up through field deployment for optical communication chips.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software, Telecommunication, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals based on the OSI model, especially the PHY through data-link layers.
- Experience with C and Python.
- Knowledge of Git, Linux, makefiles, GDB, IDEs, and Bash is a plus.
- Experience with software development workflows including Jira, GitLab, design and code reviews, Jenkins, continuous integration, and regression testing.
- Embedded firmware development experience and understanding of DSP concepts such as equalizers, filters, ADC, DAC, FFE, DFE, and PAM modulation are a plus.
- Eligibility to access export-controlled information and potential completion of an export license review process may be required.
