Base Salary
$104k - $218k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead development and execution of software test plans for global IT infrastructure supporting more than 40,000 users.
- Test critical systems, redundant infrastructure, network engineering upgrades, cloud migrations, and interoperability with external partner agencies.
- Conduct failover and disaster recovery testing and validate Recovery Time Objectives and Recovery Point Objectives.
- Validate scalability, capacity planning, high-availability architectures, and future growth projections.
- Develop test strategies, test frameworks, and quality assurance standards for enterprise infrastructure and applications.
- Build and automate DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and SonarQube.
- Lead major testing initiatives, serve as a technical expert, mentor junior test engineers, and supervise quality assurance teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus eight years of related experience in test engineering, quality assurance, software testing, infrastructure testing, or DevOps engineering; equivalencies are considered.
- Active Secret clearance is required.
- Experience leading comprehensive test planning and execution for large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure is required.
- Expertise in disaster recovery testing, failover validation, high-availability testing, and FedRAMP compliance testing is required.
- Strong proficiency with Ansible, Terraform, automated testing frameworks, and advanced CI/CD pipeline development is required.
- Demonstrated leadership in major testing initiatives, subject-matter expertise, and supervision of quality assurance teams is required.
- Federal agency or Department of State experience, cloud migration and interoperability testing, relevant certifications, and experience with geographically distributed facilities are preferred.
