Responsibilities
- Design and review office and data center networks and VPN connectivity as part of the team’s network security direction.
- Build secure cross-site connectivity, endpoint security posture, workforce identity, SSO, MFA, and joiner, mover, and leaver access patterns.
- Develop automated checks for cloud configuration and network-rule drift so owning teams can remediate issues.
- Act on infrastructure and network findings from external penetration tests through the shared security intake.
- Build cross-cutting capabilities, document runbooks and escalation paths, and transition completed systems to long-term owners.
- Partner with GRC to create automated evidence pipelines for IT and access-related controls.
- Run network and access review office hours for IT, platform, and product teams.
Requirements
- Several years of experience working across IT, cloud, and security.
- Production-scale networking, identity, endpoint posture, MFA, and SSO fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of GCP or AWS, including IAM, networking, and Terraform-style infrastructure as code.
- Hands-on workforce identity and access experience with SSO, identity providers, and joiner, mover, and leaver processes.
- Experience identifying misconfigurations, configuration drift, and problematic access patterns.
- Experience building internal tooling and platform patterns that teams adopt, incorporating guard rails, feedback, and impact measurement.
- Ability to collaborate across office networking, product cloud, platform, IT, and security contexts and document decisions effectively.
- Preferred experience with VPN solutions at scale such as Tailscale, Cloudflare Access, or WireGuard, endpoint management tooling, and audit log pipelines.
