Base Salary
$148k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize real-time algorithms for sensor data acquisition, processing, fusion, and filtering.
- Build production signal-processing software for camera, LiDAR, radar, and other sensor data.
- Use CPU, GPU, and specialized accelerator architectures to achieve low-latency performance.
- Apply low-level systems programming, data-buffer management, and performance profiling to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with autonomy, hardware, engineering, and science teams to improve system efficiency and robustness.
- Ship scalable, reliable software for autonomous driving applications.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of computer architecture, including multi-core systems, vector units, cache management, memory hierarchy, and networking.
- Experience implementing data-parallel and compute-intensive algorithms for areas such as image or video processing, compression, or neural-network optimization.
- Experience with heterogeneous computing, workload balancing, data ownership, and movement of data buffers.
- Ability to profile complex codebases and make impactful performance optimizations.
- Experience reading and developing production-quality software in C++ or Rust.
- Bonus experience with CUDA, Vulkan, OpenCL, Halide, Taichi, Mojo, Warp, CPU intrinsics, or embedded systems.
- Production experience in image and video processing, compression, streaming algorithms, deep learning, or geometry processing is beneficial.
- Publications in relevant high-performance computing, image processing, computer graphics, computer vision, machine learning, or self-driving technology venues are a bonus.
