Responsibilities
- Extend and operate the agent platform built on AWS AgentCore.
- Help teams deploy and debug agents and build tested tools and harnesses for safe access to internal code, data, and services.
- Run the MCP gateway and skills registry to enforce access controls and share reusable capabilities.
- Develop platform features, standards, templates, and guidance for agent development.
- Set up tracing, dashboards, and per-team cost reporting for agent runs.
- Write evaluations for agent behavior and tool use, including tests for prompt injection and over-permissioned tools.
- Support engineers, data scientists, and journalists building agents and convert recurring questions into documentation and standards.
- Evaluate emerging agent protocols, frameworks, and managed services.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of experience as an ML, AI, or software engineer; internships, thesis work, serious projects, and open-source contributions count.
- Master’s degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
- Strong Python skills and a practice of writing clean, tested code.
- Practical understanding of LLM agents, including tool calling, caching, context management, and common failure modes.
- Experience building at least one agent or tool-using LLM application.
- Comfort with Docker, Git, the command line, logs, and traces.
- Ability to explain technical solutions clearly to non-technical colleagues.
- Curious and security-minded approach to access, data exposure, and misuse risks.
- Preferred experience with MCP, Pydantic AI, LangGraph, LLM gateways, LLM observability or tracing tools, authentication and authorization, OAuth/OIDC, service identities, or least privilege.
