Base Salary
$88k - $129k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement reliable architectures for SCADA, EMS, and ADMS systems.
- Provide application support, troubleshoot issues, analyze performance metrics and logs, and recommend improvements.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts, mentor junior engineers, coordinate vendor support, and conduct code reviews.
- Develop features, enhancements, APIs, background services, microservices, and full-stack web applications.
- Plan and support platform upgrades, patching, failover, maintenance, backups, restoration testing, and emergency recovery procedures.
- Develop PowerShell, Batch, and Python scripts for configuration and patch deployment across servers.
- Configure and support PI and OSI Chronus data archives and network monitoring tools.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation to maintain reliable DMS, EMS, and SCADA operations.
Requirements
- SG7 requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an associate’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant experience.
- Senior SG8 requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2 years of relevant experience, or an associate’s degree with 4 years, or a high school diploma/GED with 6 years of relevant experience.
- Relevant backgrounds include IT/OT system administration, IT/OT application support, cybersecurity, and ADMS, DMA, EMS, OMS, or SCADA real-time operations solutions engineering.
- Professional certifications such as A+, Network+, CCNA, CCNP, Cyber Security+, Security+, and CCSP may substitute for part of the required experience.
- Experience with Node.js, Express.js, full-stack web development, Python FastAPI or Flask, SQL Server T-SQL, MongoDB, SQL tuning, database modeling, ORM tools, APIs, microservices, Python 3.x, React 18+, and modern TypeScript is desired.
- Next.js experience is nice to have but not required.
- Overtime, on-call assignments, and occasional travel may be required.
