Responsibilities
- Own a scoped software project end-to-end, from problem definition with HR stakeholders through production delivery.
- Build custom applications, integrations, and AI-powered workflows that automate manual HR processes.
- Make technical decisions across data modeling, API integrations, application logic, and user interfaces.
- Partner with internal customers to understand needs, map user journeys, and prioritize work based on impact.
- Define success metrics, gather user feedback, and iterate based on time saved, error reduction, adoption, and other evidence.
- Validate AI-generated outputs, protect sensitive information, and apply human oversight where needed.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or possessing equivalent hands-on engineering experience.
- Demonstrated ability to build, test, debug, and ship applications, API integrations, or automation tools through academic projects, hackathons, or prior internships.
- Hands-on experience building AI-powered prototypes or workflows using large language models.
- Ability to explain technical choices and deliver scoped projects through achievable milestones and deadlines.
- Ability to communicate trade-offs with technical and nontechnical partners.
- Ability to use generative AI responsibly while delivering measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
