Base Salary

$120k - $261k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, deliver, and operate distributed cloud services and developer tools for Microsoft Fabric App products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Fabric App capabilities with other Microsoft Fabric services.
  • Contribute to architecture and design discussions focused on scalability, resiliency, and developer productivity.
  • Conduct code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and mentor engineers.
  • Monitor and investigate service degradation and downtime as a Designated Responsible Individual, resolving issues affecting reliability and performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement of engineering development processes and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check security screening upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • Preferred: master's degree and 6+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor's degree and 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: 6+ years of experience building and operating cloud services at scale.
  • Preferred: 4+ years of experience building applications with public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience building developer tooling such as CLIs, VS Code extensions, or SDKs for JavaScript or Python.

Benefits

  • The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800-$234,700 per year, with a separate San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range of USD $160,200-$261,000 per year.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
  • The position will remain open for at least five days and accepts applications on an ongoing basis until filled.
