Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain software products.
- Take full-stack ownership by writing production-ready and testable code.
- Define scalable, reliable, performant, and architecturally sound technical designs.
- Analyze failures, propose design changes, and drive operational improvements.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards and development procedures.
- Apply software reliability, security, compliance, and development best practices.
- Define and govern enterprise frontend architecture, shared component libraries, micro frontends, and enterprise design systems.
- Lead application modernization initiatives and develop technology roadmaps, architecture strategies, and multi-year modernization plans.
- Establish architecture governance processes, conduct architecture reviews, and evaluate technical debt.
- Mentor senior engineers, technical leads, and development teams.
- Lead cross-functional technical transformations while balancing business priorities, delivery commitments, risk, and long-term architecture goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Five to six years of relevant experience.
- Preferred: 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in an Application Architect, Solution Architect, Principal Engineer, or Technical Architecture leadership role.
- Proven experience defining enterprise frontend architecture for large-scale applications serving multiple business lines, user populations, and development teams.
- Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Experience with micro frontend architectures, shared component libraries, enterprise design systems, and reusable platform capabilities.
- Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native backend platforms.
- Experience leading legacy application modernization and cloud-native distributed-system initiatives.
- Expertise with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform and architecture patterns for scalability, reliability, resilience, and security.
- Knowledge of containerization, Kubernetes, OpenShift, cloud-native application architectures, and platform engineering practices.
- Experience defining CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, automated testing frameworks, and engineering quality standards.
- Knowledge of application security, OWASP standards, authentication and authorization frameworks, secure software development, and enterprise risk management.
- Expertise in web performance, WCAG 2.1+ accessibility, responsive design, browser compatibility, and digital experience engineering.
- Strong mentoring, stakeholder management, cross-functional leadership, and technical transformation experience.
- Experience with AI-enabled user experiences, intelligent automation solutions, and modern digital platform capabilities is preferred.
