Responsibilities
- Lead embedded software development for avionics data storage and transfer products.
- Develop software requirements, architecture, detailed designs, implementations, integrations, verification activities, and certification documentation.
- Implement major embedded software components and troubleshoot drivers, networking interfaces, communications protocols, and file-system functionality.
- Integrate software with custom hardware platforms and support hardware bring-up, debugging, lab testing, system integration, verification, and validation.
- Partner with systems, hardware, and test teams to resolve technical issues and support systems engineering lifecycle activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field from an accredited college or university.
- At least 5 years of software design and development experience, or successful completion of the GE Edison Engineering Program.
- Strong C programming skills for embedded software applications.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and U.S. citizenship status.
- Preferred qualifications include embedded Linux or VxWorks, device drivers, multicore and multithreaded systems, ARM, AMD/Xilinx Zynq UltraScale MPSoC, Intel Xeon, storage systems, Ethernet networking, embedded cybersecurity, DOORS, RTC, DO-178B, and AI-assisted software development or verification experience.
