Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Refactor custom Appian plugins to remove filesystem, database, and logging dependencies incompatible with Appian Cloud.
- Redesign plugins using supported Appian APIs and cloud-compliant integration patterns.
- Validate custom and AppMarket plugins in Appian Cloud environments and remediate configuration or deployment gaps.
- Implement secure centralized logging and package and deploy plugins across development, testing, and production environments.
- Support regression testing, troubleshoot plugin and integration defects, and collaborate with Appian Developers and DBAs on migration impacts.
- Participate in migration governance, documentation, status reporting, risk tracking, production cutover preparation, rollback validation, and stabilization.
- Maintain milestone accountability and document refactoring strategies, compatibility findings, deployment steps, and definitions of done.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional Java application development experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining custom Appian plugins.
- 3+ years of experience modernizing or refactoring legacy application components for cloud environments.
- 3+ years of experience designing secure integration patterns using RESTful APIs.
- 3+ years of experience implementing and configuring modern logging frameworks such as Log4j2 and SLF4J.
- 3+ years of experience supporting deployments across development, testing, and production environments.
- 3+ years of experience working in multi-team agile or hybrid delivery environments.
- Extensive experience with Appian plugin architecture, Appian Cloud constraints, supported APIs, debugging, packaging, and multi-environment deployment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience documenting technical findings and recommendations.
- Experience in regulated environments and the ability to work in structured, governance-driven, milestone-based engagements.
- Green Card holder or US Citizenship required.
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust Security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include Appian Certified Developer certification, Appian Cloud migration experience, technical-debt remediation, financial-services experience, DevSecOps pipelines, secure code scanning, production cutover support, and Agile certification.
