Responsibilities
- Serve as the MEGA domain expert for high-value client accounts in the APJ region.
- Provide thought leadership and market insights to clients.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams to support customer needs.
- Handle non-standard solutions and escalations after triage by Sales Engineering.
- Develop custom solutions and contribute to the Fastly developer library.
- Advise Sales and Solutions teams on Fastly solutions and services.
- Deliver consulting to various internal teams to support client-facing concerns.
- Perform technical research on new technologies for customer use.
- Assist in building internal tools for MEGA customers.
- Engage with customers to understand their media needs and challenges.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in streaming video and content delivery networks.
- Strong professional network within the APJ region.
- Technical background with a focus on sales and customer interaction.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills for translating complex solutions.
- Experience as a hands-on engineer or engineering leader.
- Ability to work with HTTP protocols and troubleshooting tools.
- Understanding of cloud technologies from IaaS and PaaS providers.
- Hands-on experience in VCL and programming languages like Rust, Golang, or Javascript.
- Experience in Technical Sales or strategic business development is preferred.
