Responsibilities
- Design, validate, and maintain electrical and logical profiles for SIM and eSIM products.
- Develop and implement Java Card applets for SIM/eSIM services in compliance with 3GPP, ETSI, and GSMA standards.
- Create and maintain applet specifications, test plans, and other technical documentation.
- Collaborate with mobile core network, security, and device-vendor teams.
- Support the development, testing, and integration of SIM-based applications and tools.
- Use smart-card test and trace tools to assess quality and performance.
- Support SIM/eSIM ordering, provisioning, logistics, fulfilment, technical reviews, troubleshooting, and customer-facing technical support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in telecoms technology, connectivity, or related sectors.
- Proven experience with SIM/eSIM technologies and APDU and ISO 7816 protocols.
- Knowledge of 3GPP, ETSI, and GSMA standards.
- Experience with Java, Java Card, or scripting languages.
- Familiarity with mobile network elements and smart-card technologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, quality-focused, self-motivated, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Desirable experience with Git, Postman, or smart-card test tools such as Comprion.
- Exposure to Kanban or Agile methodologies.
