Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, deliver, and maintain embedded software products and components throughout the product lifecycle.
- Define technical requirements and collaborate with internal and external customers, marketing, manufacturing, and support groups.
- Lead and collaborate with engineering teams on software architecture, planning, development, technical feasibility analysis, and prototyping.
- Deliver project commitments on time and with high quality while supporting project planning and tracking.
- Develop unit-test-driven software components and participate in software process and product improvements.
- Create new technologies and ideas to increase organizational intellectual property and address customer needs.
- Collaborate across hardware, mechanical, testing, technical support, manufacturing, third-party, and offshore development teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 2 years of professional experience developing embedded software in C/C++.
- Experience with embedded software architecture, design, hardware/software integration, and development.
- Experience with modern control theory and applications, RTOS software development, and Linux application process development.
- Familiarity with embedded security concepts including firmware signing and secure boot.
- Familiarity with WiFi, BLE, and BLE Mesh wireless technologies.
- Familiarity with embedded design, object-oriented design, and debugging tools such as JTAG, protocol analyzers, and emulators.
- Experience with configuration management, version control, bug tracking, change management, automated builds, coding standards, and static and dynamic analysis tools.
- Experience working in iterative software development processes, multi-site teams, technical leadership, project planning, and project tracking.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience designing analog or digital circuits and control boards, or familiarity with HVAC, refrigeration, or similar control systems, is a plus.

- Salaried exempt role with a starting annual salary range of $90,000–$117,600 and eligibility for the BroadBase Incentive program with a 2% target payout.
- Onsite work in Carrollton, Texas, Monday through Friday.
