Sr. Flight Software Engineer

Base Salary
$215k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop highly deterministic C++ software in a bare-metal environment.
- Integrate software with sensors, control systems, and other vehicle subsystems.
- Handle system faults robustly.
- Drive software requirements and implement unit tests.
- Work directly with flight hardware in the laboratory and on aircraft.
- Plan flight testing and contribute to the development and certification of the aircraft autonomy stack.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of professional experience with C or C++.
- Professional experience developing software for embedded or high-performance applications.
- Thorough understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and networking.
- Experience with DO-178C is preferred.
- Experience developing software for safety-critical applications is preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to comply with U.S. export control requirements and provide documentation establishing U.S. person or non-U.S. person status.
