Responsibilities
- Build AI-driven capabilities and features for Google Search Web and Lens.
- Define and implement technical vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Coordinate and drive multiple projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional stakeholders to deliver projects.
- Build and manage a high-performing team, develop individuals, and help them achieve outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- At least 3 years of AI/ML-related engineering experience.
- At least 1 year of technical leadership experience involving software design, architecture, technical design, and team execution.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: Experience developing, deploying, managing, and maintaining machine learning models and infrastructure.
- Preferred: Experience with machine learning, AI model building and training, backend data infrastructure, or data engineering.
- Preferred: Knowledge of data engineering practices, tools, processes, and pipelines.

- Croatia-based role with compensation stated as €90000–€92000 plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
