Base Salary
$185k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement microkernel-based operating systems for autonomous-driving vehicle applications.
- Design and implement low-latency, high-throughput network core stacks for microkernel operating systems.
- Develop system toolchains for fast diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Characterize and optimize operating-system and network-core functions for real-time performance, security, and functional safety.
- Communicate designs and implementations with the team.
- Mentor team members and contribute to team growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience developing software for embedded systems.
- Experience developing low-level or system code on ArmV8 platforms.
- Programming experience in C, ARM assembly, and inline assembly.
- Understanding of Arm architecture, including the ARM Generic Interrupt Controller, system MMU, timers, and virtualization hardware support.
- Strong understanding of operating-system concepts such as virtual memory, page tables, caches, and synchronization primitives.
- Familiarity with the Linux development environment.
- Preferred: experience developing the Linux kernel or Linux drivers.
- Preferred: experience developing hypervisors, including Xen, KVM, ACRN, or SafeOS.
