Responsibilities
- Contribute to software development for a variety of software-centric projects.
- Participate with interdisciplinary teams in research and technical programs involving academic collaboration partners.
- Apply standard techniques and procedures to complete prescribed scientific and engineering tasks.
- Use application design, software development, programming, and automated testing skills with Java, C/C++, and Python.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external organizations and adapt to changing organizational needs.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university master's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Available to work full-time for at least 10 weeks outside the university term and return full-time to a degree program after the internship.
- Hands-on expertise with application design, software development, automated testing, and programming using Java, C/C++, and Python.
- Familiarity with full-stack web development, model-based software engineering, or Agile software development.
- Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
- Strong written and oral communication, teamwork, organization, time management, project management, interpersonal, and adaptability skills.
- Transcripts are required.
- Preferred qualifications include a GPA of 3.5 or higher and understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native application patterns and tools, microservices architectures, and application migrations to a cloud platform.
