Responsibilities

Design and build backend services for a highly scalable marketing platform.
Own the design of APIs, applications, and supporting infrastructure.
Deliver solutions end to end by building, automating, deploying, operating, and supporting them.
Document technical designs and requirements for internal teams and clients.
Partner with clients and delivery teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Collaborate with engineering, data science, and adjacent teams on cross-system solutions.
Work in an Agile, iterative delivery model with remote and in-person colleagues.

Strong experience with JVM-based development, preferably Kotlin, with Java also welcomed.
Experience designing and implementing data-driven APIs and large-scale web services.
Solid SQL experience, including schema design and performance-aware queries.
Deep experience with automated unit and integration testing; TDD or BDD experience is preferred.
Experience with React, TypeScript, Redux, and Tailwind or similar modern frontend frameworks.
Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or a similar cloud platform.
Experience with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience with containerized deployments using Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, or equivalent technologies.
Scala or functional programming experience is desirable.
Experience with asynchronous and highly concurrent backend frameworks such as Ktor, http4k, Play, or RxJava is desirable.
NoSQL experience with technologies such as DynamoDB, Cassandra, BigTable, or Cosmos DB is desirable.
Strong Git workflow experience and the ability to adapt workflows to project needs.
Ability and willingness to learn and adopt new technologies quickly.
