Responsibilities

Develop customer-facing widgets and application features for a browser-based video management system.
Create high-quality, well-designed application code for features and system components.
Participate in feature design and balance business requirements with technology requirements.
Deliver scheduled code that adheres to design and coding standards.
Investigate defects and identify their root causes.
Apply coding practices that promote code reuse and standardization.
Provide time and resource estimates for assigned feature areas.
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with senior developers within the company’s software development process.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of experience developing long-lived, enterprise JavaScript applications.
Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Angular.
Familiarity with AngularJS.
Background in object-oriented design.
Expertise designing and using RESTful web services.
Experience building scalable web applications with a strong focus on quality engineering.
Preferred experience with video codecs including MJPEG, H.264, H.265, and AV1.
Preferred experience with multimedia streaming technologies including WebRTC, RTSP, HLS, MPEG-DASH, and RTP.
Preferred network programming experience with TCP, UDP, unicast, and multicast.
Code samples, a design portfolio, and open-source contributions such as a GitHub page are advantageous.
