Responsibilities
- Develop customer-facing widgets and application features for a browser-based video management system.
- Create high-quality, well-designed application code for features and system components.
- Participate in feature design and balance business requirements with technology requirements.
- Deliver scheduled code that adheres to design and coding standards.
- Investigate defects and identify their root causes.
- Apply coding practices that promote code reuse and standardization.
- Provide time and resource estimates for assigned feature areas.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with senior developers within the company’s software development process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience developing long-lived, enterprise JavaScript applications.
- Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Angular.
- Familiarity with AngularJS.
- Background in object-oriented design.
- Expertise designing and using RESTful web services.
- Experience building scalable web applications with a strong focus on quality engineering.
- Preferred experience with video codecs including MJPEG, H.264, H.265, and AV1.
- Preferred experience with multimedia streaming technologies including WebRTC, RTSP, HLS, MPEG-DASH, and RTP.
- Preferred network programming experience with TCP, UDP, unicast, and multicast.
- Code samples, a design portfolio, and open-source contributions such as a GitHub page are advantageous.
