Base Salary
$120k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain and extend the Ceramic internal golden-image build platform, including feature development, bug fixes, and upstream-tool integrations.
- Design, build, and maintain automated golden-image pipelines focused primarily on Linux and extending to macOS and Windows.
- Compile and package software from source and develop Python automation for image builds, validation, drift detection, and regression testing.
- Author Infrastructure as Code with Ansible, Packer, and Terraform for image configuration, provisioning, and compliance hardening.
- Integrate image pipelines with Jenkins and GitLab CI and publish artifacts through Artifactory.
- Manage image provisioning, deployment, lifecycle, and decommissioning across the CI/CD fleet.
- Resolve production image issues, support security and compliance scanning, evaluate toolchain requirements, and maintain documentation and runbooks.
Requirements
- US citizenship or Green Card status is required.
- At least 4 years of experience in a software or infrastructure engineering environment.
- Strong Linux systems engineering experience at scale, including build toolchains, package management, shared libraries, and compiling software from source.
- Python proficiency for automation, tooling, and scripting, plus experience owning and extending an internal platform or service.
- Experience with Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Jenkins and/or GitLab CI, and artifact management tools; Artifactory is preferred.
- Understanding of virtualization and experience with VMware, KVM, or similar hypervisors.
- Familiarity with macOS and Windows administration in CI/CD or build environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across operating system, network, and application layers.
- Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Kubernetes experience, macOS MDM/DEP/Apple Business Manager familiarity, security-hardening experience, and large-scale CI/CD or build-infrastructure experience are advantageous.
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation and work effectively across distributed teams and time zones.
