Base Salary
$131k - $272k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own security engineering across SAP’s Sovereign Cloud infrastructure.
- Design and implement infrastructure security concepts across the global Sovereign Cloud footprint.
- Build and automate security solutions aligned with the Sovereign Cloud security strategy.
- Strengthen automated provisioning of foundational cloud infrastructure and Sovereign Cloud-ready SAP products.
- Apply NIST and ISO compliance frameworks to security deployment decisions.
- Partner with global operations teams and hyperscaler providers on security architecture.
- Maintain current knowledge of hyperscaler capabilities and modern infrastructure tooling.
- Collaborate across product lines, platform teams, operations teams, and distributed global teams.
- Mentor teams and contribute to secure, scalable cloud services.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a security engineer with deep cloud infrastructure skills.
- Working knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD tools, and Git for security automation.
- Strong operating systems administration and security engineering experience, including OS image creation and hardening.
- Experience securing cloud infrastructure at scale on AWS and Azure.
- Familiarity with managing and securing Kubernetes environments.
- Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Willingness to undergo a governmental security clearance process due to potentially classified work.
- Mastery of ML lifecycle automation, infrastructure design, and performance optimization.
- Ability to evangelize MLOps principles and coach peers on best practices.
- Clear communication, trust-building, customer focus, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving ability.
