Base Salary
$198k - $296k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and scale agentic AI systems for multi-session conversational therapy that maintain context, demonstrate emotional intelligence, and align with clinical protocols.
- Design a centralized service that delivers personalized pain science education and mindset strategies based on members’ therapeutic goals.
- Define the long-term technical vision for Brain Health with product and clinical leadership while balancing delivery needs with scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure.
- Mentor engineers and drive technical excellence and cross-functional collaboration across data science, clinical, and platform teams.
- Own software from architecture through production support, including its reliability and performance.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of practical software engineering experience, including meaningful experience shipping AI-powered products to real users.
- Experience leading the end-to-end design and delivery of complex user-facing products across product surfaces, backend services, and AI/ML systems.
- Technical proficiency in modern AI application development, including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, agentic systems, and evaluations.
- Strong full-stack foundation, such as Python and TypeScript/NestJS.
- Product-focused approach to building robust, safe, and useful AI solutions.
- Preferred experience in early-stage or rapidly evolving environments and building products from 0 to 1.
- Preferred experience driving cross-team alignment, establishing engineering standards and system architectures, and developing AI evaluation, safety, and reliability practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Contributions to open-source AI or software engineering projects are preferred.
