Base Salary

$91k - $172k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scripts and software according to design specifications.
  • Test software with prototype robotic hardware.
  • Develop software for robotic teleoperation, autonomy, controls, perception, navigation, and related systems.
  • Interface with and integrate robotic sensors, external hardware, custom devices, and communication protocols.
  • Support senior staff with technical proposal writing and new business opportunities.
  • Lead or contribute to robotics R&D projects, customer demonstrations, and research publications.
  • Develop simulation environments, digital twins, synthetic environments, and simulation-based testing workflows.
  • Debug complex multi-sensor and multi-system robotic platforms.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Robotics Engineer II: bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience or master's degree; Robotics Engineer III: bachelor's degree with 5+ years, master's degree with 3+ years, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with C++ and Python.
  • Experience with ROS 2 for robotic software development.
  • Experience developing software that interfaces with physical robotic systems.
  • Experience integrating cameras, LiDAR, IMUs, force/torque sensors, or similar robotic sensors.
  • Experience with system software at the driver or operating-system level on Linux and Windows.
  • Experience with robotic control, autonomy, teleoperation, navigation, manipulators, mobile robots, or custom robotic platforms.
  • Experience with real-time robotic software architectures and distributed systems.
  • Experience with computer vision using OpenCV or deep learning approaches and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Experience developing perception systems involving object detection, segmentation, tracking, pose estimation, or sensor fusion.
  • Experience collecting, managing, and processing robotics datasets.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine, Isaac Sim/Omniverse, Gazebo, or related robotic simulation platforms.
  • Experience developing Unreal Engine applications using C++, Blueprints, or OpenXR.
  • Experience with Docker, embedded systems, low-level hardware interfaces, and external hardware integration is desired.
  • Experience supporting R&D programs for government defense, healthcare, or industrial applications is desired.
  • Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Fusion 360 is desired.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams is desired.
