Responsibilities
- Expand and modify existing firmware to meet design requirements.
- Port and test machine-learning frameworks in an embedded C platform.
- Develop and test portions of embedded software with defined specifications and architecture.
- Participate in firmware design reviews and collaborate with the formal verification team.
- Facilitate prototypes and contribute to verification and validation test plans, test methods, and acceptance criteria.
- Interpret test results and data and communicate technical findings in written and oral presentations.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably as an upperclassman, or a master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Familiarity with AI concepts and frameworks such as TensorFlow Lite, Tiny ML, or ONNX.
- Ability to examine large datasets and develop machine-learning models.
- Understanding of computer architectures, software design, and UML 2.0.
- Experience designing embedded systems with C or C++.
- Understanding of real-time operating systems such as FreeRTOS.
- Familiarity with ARM and STM32 microprocessors and peripherals including ADC, I2C, SPI, and CAN.
- Proficiency in Python and R.
- Proficiency with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Understanding of or interest in agile development environments and CI/CD pipelines.
