Responsibilities
- Partner with product teams to design new capabilities for customers.
- Develop and operate large-scale data lake systems with a dedicated engineering team.
- Contribute to open-source projects like DuckDB and Polaris.
- Analyze and solve performance and availability challenges.
- Ensure operational excellence and meet customer commitments regarding service reliability.
- Set technical directions and influence cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with high-performance relational data management systems.
- Deep understanding of infrastructure and software optimizations.
- Proven track record of leading large and complex projects.
- Strong development skills in Java and C++.
- Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of columnar storage formats.
