Base Salary

$105k - $140k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop software operating and control systems for complex robotic equipment.
  • Develop software interfaces supporting IoT and smart-factory requirements.
  • Develop equipment applications on ITW EAE’s patented Open Apps platform.
  • Help prepare software requirements specifications and new product design specifications.
  • Resolve hardware/software compatibility and interface design issues.
  • Develop standard routines and utility programs.
  • Provide software support to the factory floor, technical support, field service, and sales teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical field.
  • 2–4 years of related experience.
  • Experience with C++ and C#.
  • Experience with software projects using structured design techniques and object-oriented design methodologies.
  • Experience working as part of a software project team.
  • Basic knowledge of machine-control software, Windows-based GUI design, I/O systems, closed-loop systems, and PID control.
  • Familiarity with state-machine programming and automated testing.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • WPF, Visual Studio, source control, and installation package experience are preferred.
