Base Salary
$100k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, deploy, and maintain infrastructure for TypeScript and PHP-based applications.
- Own and evolve cloud infrastructure across environments while improving reliability, business alignment, and cloud cost management.
- Maintain secure-by-default configurations across VPCs, IAM policies, ECS and container services, CDN, and DNS.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve platform stability and performance.
- Own observability and incident response, including logging, alerting, and on-call playbooks, using Datadog and related tools.
- Define authentication, authorization, and access-control patterns across member-facing, operator-facing, and internal services.
- Lead threat modeling for new product features and partner with product engineers on security improvements.
- Own secrets management, certificate lifecycle, and key rotation across environments.
- Build SAST and DAST tooling into the CI/CD workflow.
- Promote coding standards, code reviews, documentation, training, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of major cloud experience, preferably with AWS.
- 1–2 years of hands-on platform or application security engineering experience.
- Deep knowledge of container-build best practices, container orchestration platforms, and build and deployment automation.
- Experience with PHP containers, ECS Fargate, and GitHub Actions is a plus.
- Solid understanding of backend systems, APIs, and web service integration.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for resolving complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Knowledge of Cloud and DevOps trends, emerging technologies, best practices, and the evolving AI cybersecurity landscape.
- Experience with SevenRooms, Resy, OpenTable, dining payments infrastructure, or luxury and membership consumer applications is a strong plus.
