Base Salary

$100k - $250k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, deploy, and maintain infrastructure for TypeScript and PHP-based applications.
  • Own and evolve cloud infrastructure across environments while improving reliability, business alignment, and cloud cost management.
  • Maintain secure-by-default configurations across VPCs, IAM policies, ECS and container services, CDN, and DNS.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve platform stability and performance.
  • Own observability and incident response, including logging, alerting, and on-call playbooks, using Datadog and related tools.
  • Define authentication, authorization, and access-control patterns across member-facing, operator-facing, and internal services.
  • Lead threat modeling for new product features and partner with product engineers on security improvements.
  • Own secrets management, certificate lifecycle, and key rotation across environments.
  • Build SAST and DAST tooling into the CI/CD workflow.
  • Promote coding standards, code reviews, documentation, training, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6–8 years of major cloud experience, preferably with AWS.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on platform or application security engineering experience.
  • Deep knowledge of container-build best practices, container orchestration platforms, and build and deployment automation.
  • Experience with PHP containers, ECS Fargate, and GitHub Actions is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of backend systems, APIs, and web service integration.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for resolving complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Knowledge of Cloud and DevOps trends, emerging technologies, best practices, and the evolving AI cybersecurity landscape.
  • Experience with SevenRooms, Resy, OpenTable, dining payments infrastructure, or luxury and membership consumer applications is a strong plus.
