Responsibilities
- Develop kernel modules or features for distributed database systems.
- Solve complex, large-scale cloud infrastructure problems.
- Partner with product managers and engineers across teams to build backend support for cloud database service products.
- Participate in technical discussions about the team’s product and engineering work.
- Complete the company’s technical online assessment if invited after resume screening.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in software development, computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Knowledge of database kernels, distributed systems, query processing and optimization, and multithreaded programming.
- Experience coding in C/C++, Golang, Java, or Python.
- Previous software engineering experience through an internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications is preferred.
- Experience with open-source DBMS development such as MySQL or PostgreSQL is highly desirable.
- Curiosity, creativity, entrepreneurship, and strong problem-solving capabilities are preferred.
